To continue the success of HCMC SKYRUN 2018 – the city’s stair climbing race, HCMC SKYRUN 2019 is now open, expected to be more exciting and challenging!
Stair climbing, first known as “vertical races” in the 1970s, is now a global sport with stair climbing clubs hailing from the US, Canada, Europe and Asia as well as elite athletes who train year-round to be the first to reach the top of the world’s tallest buildings. Although still a relatively new sport, stair climbing has quickly caught on with fitness enthusiasts attracted not only by the physical demands of this grueling sport but by also the novelty of competing in unique urban settings – the world’s tallest structures, some of the tallest of which are located here in Asia.
Through this event, we would like to promote the value of health lifestyle, encourage people to live dynamically, overcome challenges and reach new heights in life. The runners will start at the ground floor lobby and ascend to the tower’s helipad on the 52nd floor to win yourself, conquer Bitexco Financial Tower is one of the 25 great skyscrapers of the world with 191m height, 52 floors and 1,076 steps.
